It’s an adventure, in these times. Getting married in Brussels in the time of Coronavirus is not simple. Just a couple of witnesses, not many guests allowed, the photographer often can’t even enter the celebration venue to capture some memories of such an important day.

But Catherine and Chris decided to make this day special, the more special as possible, in spite of all adversities. 

Their place is very beautiful and modern - that’s where we met the first time, to avoid crowded places - and they welcomed me with a cup of good English tea, just as it has to be, at 5 o’ clock.

We shared our feelings and our worries about what’s going on, but in a second I felt their positive thinking and how they were arranging everything in order to transform the obstacles and difficulties in beautiful, non conventional gifts of their wonderful wedding day.

Catherine and Chris come from London. They wanted to get married in March, but then we all know what happened. With all the restrictions due to the Coronavirus, it was impossible to go back and get married in the UK, or to have their British friends here to celebrate their wedding.

After postponing again and again, they came to the conclusion that they didn’t feel like waiting anymore, so they fixed a day. 

What a great time, the three of us! The memories they wanted to have are not only of their Love, which is profound, supporting, tender, understanding. They wanted to be able to remember Brussels, their new, loved, city, during these weird times, these times that keep people apart sometimes, that can make people struggle, that for sure change a lot of projects and plans. Times that, like any other hard time, make Real Love stronger.

Catherine and Chris are sure that, very soon, they’ll have a real, big wedding party, with friends and family, and that, sooner or later, looking back to these months, they’ll think that, despite everything, they got married and honored their Love with such an important ritual: they’re sure they’ll look back and smile.
