After a very happy and full wedding season this year, I finally found some time to sit down and get back to posting something of what I’ve been doing. And I start with the last photoshoot of last year, these couple photos at Maison Hannon. It was December, some days before Christmas.
Miranda and Spencer are from Canada, but lived in Scotland for the last few years. They’re in love with art nouveau and they travel around Europe to discover pearls of this elegant style of architecture. So I was amazed when they wrote me about their project: they wanted to find an art nouveau building and have their couple photos taken there.
Brussels has plenty of art nouveau architecture all around the city, but Maison Hannon was really recently opened, and I visited it some months earlier, so it was really the first option that came to my mind, and I was extremely excited about the idea!
On the day of the shoot, Miranda and Spencer were so at ease and funny! They really made me laugh and had fun in front of the camera, despite the fact that a couple of days before they had their luggage stolen, so they couldn’t wear their fancy clothes they had planned.
Maison Hannon is really a photographic paradise: every shot is a “wow”, the harmony in non-symmetric shapes is just a delight for the eyes. The warmth of the wood, in contrast with that blue, the main color in the hall fresco, gives a warm and soft touch to the pictures, even if outside it was freezing. Also, the staff was really open and helpful and we had the time to book the whole museum for the three of us.
Could ask for a better result for these couple photos at Maison Hannon!
