Who could ever imagine that, after all this time, I would take pictures for Alice at her Brussels Engagement session?

I met Alice, ten years ago, while living in Ferrara. She stayed there for one year, to study architecture, and we became friends. Here is where she met Mariano, as well. 

During the years, we kept in contact, but not so often: we're always so busy, in our crazy messy creative worlds! Then I moved to Rome, and got busier and busier, but we met there as well!

So, it was definitely funny, after almost ten years, when I wrote her: "I'm moving to Brussels with my boyfriend!"

Alice and Mariano have a very peculiar love story: she's Belgian, he's Argentinian, they met in Italy, lived apart for years, then rejoined in Belgium, traveled for one year in Asia, got back in Brussels... They are nomad, free spirits, but still together, united. Both have big, generous hearts, are passionate about this city, and about trips to far away lands.

They live in a cozy little apartment in Saint Gilles, and now that I moved here with Wilson, we meet each other really often, for an aperitivo in the Parvis, for a dinner or for a weekend trip together.

When we began our Brussels Engagement Session, they were shy and clumsy. Like everyone else, actually 🙂 But, just after the first minutes, they just forgot to pose.

And that's when we all started having a lot of  fun 🙂

We drank a Belgian beer between a location and the other, they showed me places that I didn't know yet, and they let me into their intimate, emotional world. It was an emotion for me as well, working for these close friends of mine, having to know a part of their universe that I didn't see before.

So our friendship is now enriched and deepened.
